Our History

Formerly a private Catholic School, St. Anthony serves a  community of economically disadvantaged inner city children. When the Diocese decided to close it, several area businessmen came together to provide funds to keep school open.

However, due to recent economic downturn, St. Anthony became a Charter School in September 2003. Because of its successes, the school was one of only two charters awarded in the state for the 2003-2004 school year from a group of over 130 schools who applied for charter status.

Our Principal

David Ray is a principal, husband, father, and a formidable teacher.
Above all, he is an exceptional human being who has dedicated his

entire adult life to enhancing the academic and social experiences of children. To that end, Mr. Ray is currently the principal of St. Anthony Academy in Dallas where he has lead for the last three years.  He has been in public education for 13 years, devoting ten of those years to developing young student minds and characters with the Dallas Independent School District.
