Our
History
|
|
Formerly
a private Catholic School, St. Anthony serves a community of
economically disadvantaged inner city children. When the Diocese
decided to close it, several area businessmen came together to provide funds to keep
school open.
However,
due to recent economic downturn, St. Anthony became a Charter School in September 2003. Because of its successes,
the school was one of only two charters awarded in the state for the
2003-2004 school year from a group of over 130 schools who applied for
charter status. |
